Every dog’s dream is to find a loving home with caring owners who cherish them.
It’s truly saddening to realize the number of puppies left to fend for themselves, devoid of the affection they rightfully deserve.
Our story today revolves around five such puppies, abandoned when they needed warmth the most.
Here’s their tale.
In March 2023, a distress call reached Lisa Chiarelli, the heart behind Frankie Lola & Friends, an LA-based dog rescue. The message contained a photo of a lone puppy left in a cardboard box.
Fast forward three weeks, the puppies, now healthy, were ready for foster care.
The ultimate goal was to find permanent homes for them. While the others quickly found their forever homes, Christian, despite being an absolute sweetheart, was left waiting. At almost 5 months old, he had been at Frankie Lola & Friends longer than any other puppy. Lisa believes his prolonged wait was primarily due to his black coat.
“Black dogs are just as lovely. Christian is a gem and shouldn’t be overlooked just because of his color.”
