Blind Mom Dog Dumped In Landfill Refuses To Leave A Box Hoping To Be Reunited Her Babies

When Good Samaritans found a puppy sitting in a cardboard box at a landfill, they were shocked that someone had abandoned her so cruelly.

They called the animal rescuers, who then rushed to the scene. But to their surprise, the dog did not move from the box. They thought she may have thought that her previous owners would return. The rescuers soon realized she had been there for at least three days! This told them that something was very wrong.

Although the dog was finally safe, she was terrible condition. She was completely hairless, her skin was rough and covered in untreated open wounds. Her eyes were also nearly shut and stuck together. When the rescuers carefully opened them, they were red and unresponsive.

The rescuers saw that she needed immediate medical care. They took her to the vet, where she received a thorough checkup. The vets claimed that she was nearly blind and suffered from severe otitis media, an infection of the middle ear. Additionally, her body was extremely swollen, particularly her head and legs. She also had inflammation in her reproductive area.

Before starting her on necessary medications, the rescuers gave her a hearty meal. This made her very happy! She finished the entire bowl in record time.

Unfortunate News :

When the test results cam back the vets saw that the pup had given birth to many litters. This lead to them to the conclusion that she had been used for breeding and was abandoned when no longer needed. The veterinary staff was heartbroken and decided to give her the best care possible, hoping to lift her spirits and improve her health.

The mama dog went in for eye surgery, and while she healed, they treated her rough skin. Once she realized she was finally receiving the help she needed, she was excited. She greeted everyone who passed by her kennel with the cutest tail wags!

Surrounded by love, she began to recover quickly. Her scabies cleared up, her face was no longer swollen and she also regained her sight completely! This sweet girl was so thrilled to finally see the kind faces of the humans who had given her a second chance at life.

New Life For Mama Pup :

After a short period of time, her rescuers were contacted by a loving family who had fallen in love with her and wanted to make her their own. When they met, it was as if they had always known each other.

Naming her Sofi, the new family took her home. This is where she began her new life. Today, Sofi is surrounded by humans who adore her and she even has dog siblings that spends every moment with.

Bottom Line :

Sofi should have never been abandoned at the landfill. People often forget that dogs have feelings too. Mistreating them can lead to depression, anxiety and aggression!

If you can no longer care for your dog, please take them to a local shelter. Give them the chance for a better life… they at least deserve that.
