A small dog is overjoyed as his family celebrates his ‘birthday’ and organizes a surprise party for him

Meet Odin, a pint-sized pup from Mexico with a heart as big as his personality. His love for life and happiness is infectious, especially when he’s over the moon.

Odin’s owners adore him, and they show it every day. But recently, they decided to take their affection to a new level. They threw Odin a surprise party to celebrate his “birthday”!

Joyce Cetina and her family brought Odin into their home three years ago. Since then, the little dog has consistently proved to be the perfect addition to their family.

“He’s the most loyal buddy. He adores cuddling and playing,” Joyce shared with The Dodo.

As Odin’s special day drew near this month, the Cetina family decided to go all out. They planned a surprise party to express their immense love for him.

Odin was genuinely taken aback by the surprise. The joy in his eyes said it all; he couldn’t believe they remembered his special day!

The Cetinas ordered a dog-friendly cake and decked the house with decorations. When they finally revealed the surprise to Odin, his reaction was priceless.

“He seemed puzzled at first, not knowing what was happening,” Joyce described Odin’s initial reaction. “But once he realized all the fuss was for him, and the cake was his, he was ecstatic.”

And what’s a birthday without the traditional “Happy Birthday” song? Odin’s family serenaded him before letting him indulge in his cake.

“He absolutely loved it,” Joyce recalled.

Odin received several gifts, which he enjoyed. But the best gift of all was his family’s countless kisses and hugs. For them, Odin deserved nothing but the best.

Interestingly, Odin’s “birthday” is the anniversary of his adoption. It’s the day the Cetinas received the greatest gift of their lives.

“Odin is loved and pampered throughout the year,” Joyce admitted. “But this day holds a special place in our hearts because it’s the day he became part of our family. He brings us so much joy.”
