A Loyal Dog is Devastated After Being Abandoned by His Family at a High-Risk Shelter

An emotional video featuring a loyal, teary-eyed pup named Blue has recently surfaced on the internet. He is weeping in despair due to his human family’s inexplicable abandonment of him — all he wanted was their unconditional love and attention like any devoted canine would do. This heart-wrenching footage will surely tug at your heartstrings.

All too often, we see Blue’s story unfold. His family adored him yet thought of him as a nuisance when they moved into their new house and cruelly dropped him off at the shelter without looking back. Despite his unwavering loyalty to them all, he wasn’t welcomed in his own home anymore.

With a heavy heart, they left him at an overcrowded high-kill shelter. The sorrow on Blue’s face was palpable and each person there felt their hearts break for the pup.

A shelter employee tried diligently to bring a smile back to Blue’s face; however, he remained glum. Even with his favorite meal or kind words of encouragement, nothing seemed to shift his state of mind. It was almost as if unhappiness had become an everyday feeling for him.

Blue refused to accept any form of love, instead weeping and longing for his family who he knew would not return. In the wake of such a broken heart, all that remained was hope for help.

In the hopes of finding him a family that would provide unconditional love and long-term care, the shelter shared his story on Facebook.

Jennifer McKay was immediately moved when she saw the misery in the pit bull’s eyes and instinctively knew that something had to be done. She valiantly took action to help this unfortunate pup.

McKay has now welcomed Blue into her family and is determined to show him the love and attention he so deserves. Gradually she forms a bond with him, teaching him that it’s alright to trust again while showering him in tenderness. It’s become clear that this loving relationship was meant to be!

The pain caused by his abandonment remains embedded in his heart; however, with the compassionate support of his newfound love, these memories slowly begin to dissipate and he feels protected.
