A Lost and Lonely Shelter Dog, Bereft Without His Beloved Bucket, Finally Finds a Loving Home
Slim is a Pit Bull mix who had a rough start in life and spent almost a year in the Ashland County Dog Shelter in Ohio. This pup was found in a deserted house, hungry and afraid.
Despite being deprived and scared before coming to the shelter, Slim has a positive outlook on life. The pup enjoys playing with his toys, but his most treasured possession is a common household item – a bucket! The Rescue Me Ohio states that he “cherishes his bucket and feels bereft without it!!”
Slim, who is between four and five years old, has energy, charisma, and an eagerness to please. Although he struggled with food guarding at first, the shelter staff taught him some manners. Furthermore, Slim’s poor leash skills, which he developed due to the shelter’s stressful environment, have caused him to ruin most of his toys.
In October 2015, Slim got a chance at a new life when Forget Me Not Animal Rescue took him in. In the loving environment of his new foster family, he has been trained, taught to sit politely for treats, and has received lots of love and affection!
Slim’s adoption isn’t final yet, but his foster family hopes his journey to a forever home is almost complete. If you want to open your heart and your home to Slim, please visit Forget Me Not Animal Rescue’s adoption page for more information.
Finally, please share Slim’s story with family and friends. There’s no doubt about it, this deserving pup will make a wonderful companion for his lucky new family!
