A Foster Dad’s Relentless Determination Provides An Incredible Second Chance For A Puppy Born Without Front Legs
When Nobby the puppy was born without his front legs, it seemed that his future would be cut short. The vet said he should likely be put to sleep mere hours after being brought into the world.
Nevertheless, Nubby’s owner made a firm decision. From the outset, life was difficult for Nobby; he entered this world without any front legs and encountered difficulty reaching his mother to nurse. His mom acknowledged him yet unfortunately, his other brothers and sisters pushed him away to prevent him from taking meals.
Though it was heartbreaking, the vet suggested that Nobby be euthanized since he was only four hours old.
Lou Robinson, from Texas, however, was determined to make a difference; she and her husband Mark have dedicated their lives to providing care for stray dogs in need of love.
After disregarding the vet’s advice, Lou and her husband took Nobby home with them. Day in and day out they ensured he felt secure, loved, and well-fed by bottle feeding him. With their care round the clock, it wasn’t long before Nobby started to look brighter.
Initially, it appeared that Nobby was thriving. Loui Robinson remarked to The Dodo, “He opened his eyes, developed the ability to hear and barked with vigor; he could smell and distinguish voices.” It seemed like Noble was doing exceptionally well!
Dramatically, Nobby’s condition began to alter. When he was nearing one month old, the little pup started sneezing uncontrollably and lost his ability to defecate. Additionally, small bubbles could be seen trickling from his nose.
After an X-ray, it was discovered that Nobby had a defect in his esophagus. His veterinarians prescribed antibiotics and put him into an incubator. The outlook seemed dire– yet little Nobby displayed extraordinary tenacity and fortitude to overcome the odds.
He refused to surrender. He kept on fighting, and his foster parents were determined to give him the chance of living a good life as long as there was still hope.
Thankfully, Nobby’s health gradually improved over time. Now three years later, it is evident that this brave little boy has beaten the odds and survived!
Life may not be easy for Nobby, however, he has demonstrated to a wide audience that anything is conceivable. In addition, the Robinsons have created their own Facebook page so people can keep track of their exploits.
Judging by the recent updates and pictures posted, it’s evident that Nobby is feeling healthier than ever.
As a pup, he has blossomed into an exceptionally strong and energetic dog. With his wheelchair accompanying him on all of life’s adventures, he is filled with enthusiasm to explore everything the world has to offer – from chasing sticks through grassy fields to discovering new treats!
Nobby is a glowing example of how being unique can be celebrated! His differences are not a barrier; they’re what makes him an inspiration to many.
Despite the veterinarian’s recommendation to euthanize him, with Lou and Mark’s unwavering support, Nobby has proven that nothing is impossible.
Let’s come together to celebrate this wonderful pup, and give a big thank you to Lou and Mark for their incredible work!
